ING Real Esatate Development UK's £150 million plan for a new 45 arce waterfront leisure and residential development at the historic harbour in Bo'Ness on the Firth of Forth was approved in July 2007 by Falkirk Council.
ING Real Estate Development UK was selected as the preferred developer after competition with four other proposals in March 2004. Planning consent was achieved in July 2006 which will see complete regeneration of the 45 arce site including restoration of the historic dock which closed in the 1950's.
The ten year program for the scheme includes 10,000sqft of commercial uses including retail and leisure, 750 apartments and townhouses with views over the river Firth of Forth. This project is a key element in Falkirk Council's 'My Futures' - a £23 million 10 year plan to transfer the Falkirk area into a thriving, diverse and modern economy.
