Cannstatter Carré is located in Bad Cannstatt opposite the railway station. Bad Cannstatt is an important district close to the inner city of Baden-Württemberg's state capital Stuttgart.
ING Real Estate developed a large-scale retail concept with a supermarket, several young fashion and sports stores, drugstores, shoe markets and specialty shops, including opticians, jewelers and a book store. Furthermore, offices and a health and fitness centre have been included in the project plans. The development also provides around 735 parking places.
Bad Cannstatt is integrated in the structure of the conurbation of Stuttgart. It has its own identity and is largely autonomous. Purchasing power in Stuttgart is above average and Bad Cannstatt forms the second-largest retail market in the region. The latter can be classified as a regional market, which stretches into the eastern part of Stuttgart and enables the realisation of large-scale retailing.
