Area development
Other sites

Area development is a response to the growing societal need for exciting and sustainable urban spaces where people can live, work and enjoy life. It demands not only a good grasp of the requirements of these multi-use spaces, but also of the way they interact with each other and with the surrounding city or region.
Whether newly-created or re-created, area development also calls for a deep understanding of the subtle dynamics of public space and an appreciation of the workings of urban regeneration over time. This is the fifth dimension of area development that distinguishes it from real estate project management.
Our approach to area development is based on:
- The three crucial spatial elements planning, design and construction quality.
- Collaboration with stakeholders at every level, including municipalities, architects, investors, construction companies, tenants and the wider community.
- Awareness of our responsibility, particularly since the lifespan of such projects may extend for at least a generation and will make a big difference in branding your property or area.
- Connecting people, partners and projects, buildings and public spaces in a way that takes current and future needs into account.
- Building on our real estate expertise and experience, which includes development, financing and renting. Specifically, we draw on our experience of successfully meeting challenges while developing large-scale areas over 30 years of integral, multi-use project experience in 12 countries.
