ING Real Estate appoints new country managers in Hungary and the Czech Republic

ING Real Estate has today announced the appointment of Pal Baross as Country Manager, Development, for Hungary and Bohumil Mach as Country Manager, Development, for the Czech Republic.
Pal Baross, Country Manager, Development, Hungary
Pal Baross joined ING Real Estate in 1998 as a developer. He has successfully led the development of several landmark buildings in Budapest, such as the Andrássy building, which previously accommodated ING Hungary, the Liget Center (Dózsa György út) and Park Atrium, which currently houses ING Hungary’s offices. Prior to joining ING Real Estate he worked for the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, Habitat and the Dutch Ministry of Development Cooperation where he advised governments and urban development agencies on urban and residential development in developing countries.
In 2006 Pal Baross was elected Chairman of the Board of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Hungary. He received the First Class Medal from the Hungarian Republic in 2007 in recognition of his professional contribution to developing the real estate sector in Hungary. Pal teaches urban planning at the Technical University and real estate development at the Central European University Business School in Budapest.
Bohumil Mach, Country Manager, Development, Czech Republic
Bohumil Mach (43) joined ING Real Estate in 2004 as Technical Director with responsibility for commercial as well as residential real estate development projects. From 2001 to 2004 he worked as Technical Director at Ahold in the Czech Republic. He was Civil Project Manager at ICF Kaiser (US) from 1997 and 1999 and was responsible for developing the Ostrava Mini-mill in the Czech Republic and the EZZ Mill Project in Egypt. Bohumil graduated in over-ground structures from the Technical University in Brno in 1982. He is a certified engineer and a member of the Czech Chamber of Certified Engineers and Technicians.
