ING Real Estate appoints Silvio Estienne Country Manager Investment Management France

ING Real Estate is pleased to announce the appointment of Silvio Estienne as Country Manager France for its real estate investment management business as of 1 July 2008. From its Paris office, ING Real Estate manages a portfolio of real estate assets in the retail, offices, residential and logistic sectors with a total value of approximately EUR 1.8 billion.

Silvio Estienne (46), engineer of the École Centrale de Lyon, holds an MBA of the HEC School of Management as well as an MBA of the Sloan Fellows Programme of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Estienne joins ING from the Promogim group, a French developer of residential properties, where he held the position of General Secretary since November 2006. Mr. Estienne started his career with the Banque Internationale de Placement (BIP) where he was responsible for quantitative asset management in Paris and was subsequently promoted to executive vice-president in the Chicago office. In 1995 he joined the ISM and Bail Investissement Group as Head of Treasury and Financing. In 1998, Mr. Estienne took up the position of CFO at Marignan Immobilier and was promoted to deputy Chief Executive Officer with responsibility for strategy and finance in 2001.

Mr. Estienne will report to Pieter Hendrikse, CEO Investment Management Europe.
