St. Stephens reaches for the top

The official topping out ceremony of the St. Stephen mixed use scheme in the heart of Hull City was held 28th February 2007.
Watched by an audience including councillors and representatives from the development and construction team, Siep Hoeksma, Country Manager RED UK, proudly presented an engraved silver trowel on behalf of ING Real Estate to the Mayor of the City of Hull.
“There has been fantastic progress on the site. St. Stephens is truly becoming a living and breathing reality. We are well on the way to delivering a major boost to shopping, leisure and jobs in Hull and one of the most significant regeneration projects not just in the region, but across Europe.”
The retail-led mixed use development is set to revitalise a largely derelict part of Hull’s city centre and has already attracted top high street names.
St. Stephen’s will be anchored by a Tesco Extra Superstore and a strong retail line up including; Oasis, Next, Zara, River Island, TK Maxx, H&M, Sports World, New Look, Jane Norman, Carphone Warehouse and Orange.
ING RED UK is working in partnership with Hull City Council, Yorkshire Forward and English Partnerships via the city’s urban regeneration company Hull Citybuild.
