Palace Exchange, the new shopping centre development at the heart of Enfield town centre, has opened on Tuesday 10th October 2006 with it’s two biggest retailers Next and TK Maxx open for trade from week one. Next, Caffé Nero, Superdrug, Herbs & Acupuncture, New Look, Oasis, Clarks and Muse have open their doors to the public as well.
The development, which has been under construction for the last 24 months, will finally be complete in October. The retailers themselves now have control of their units and are making their own final preparations for opening during October, November and December. The perimeter hoardings will be taken down, and pedestrians will be able to walk through into the scheme from London Road as well as its links with The Town and Palace Gardens. The 530 space multi-storey car park will also be operating from day one.
A further string of Palace Exchange retailers including Topshop, River Island, Jane Norman and Barratts will follow straight behind with openings by 27th November. These will be quickly followed by Dorothy Perkins early December - well in time for the busy Christmas period.
River Island and Muse are the latest names to sign up to the centre with more five more retailers to be confirmed and added shortly.
