February 23, 2006, ING Real Estate, Development, Italy
On 2 February, ING Real Estate bought a land parcel in Buonconvento (Siena province, Italy) to develop a residential project. At the same moment, ING Real Estate Development entered into a 50/50 partnership with Etruria s.r.l., a company with local expertise in small residential developments.
The project consists of 135 residential units ranging from semidetached houses to various sizes of apartments. Works will start in 2006 with a first phase and lasts until 2010 in a green environment, adjacent to the existing village centre.
The architectural style is in line with the local rural tradition of Buonconvento which is renowned as one of the best medieval villages (borgo’s) along the Roman Cassia road in the hilly vineyards of Montalcino.
