Syndication
Other sites
Syndication occurs when a group of financial institutions work together to provide a single, large loan. The syndicate is usually headed by a lead bank, which takes a percentage of the debt and syndicates the rest to the other institutions.
Syndication allows any of the lenders to provide very large loans, while maintaining a prudent and manageable risk exposure. It is common in very big development projects requiring longer-term funding. Because each lender’s risk is lower, the client can occasionally receive more favourable terms than would be the case if there were only one lender.
We have an extensive and successful track record acting as both lead bank and partner in loan syndication for long-term large-scale projects. We can arrange structure and distribute the debt, offering you the convenience of a single point of contact, while granting you access to the shared resources of the real estate market’s principal institutions.
In conjunction with many major financial partners, we supply excellent and innovative syndication financing and provide you with expertise and funds across most markets, sectors and borders.
Our large underwriting capacity allows you to move quickly and exploit opportunities immediately when they arise, without having to wait for the setting up of the syndicate.
