Description
To facilitate and enhance communication through the development and delivery of an external communication strategy and plan. The plan should support the brand communication needs of ING Real Estate as well as promoting ING Real Estate as a global leader
Main responsibilities:
- In conjunction with the Global Head of Communication and Brand Manager to develop an external communication strategy which helps support the aspirations of the brand as well as the needs of the business as a leading global real estate company.
- External positioning and messaging
- To build strong and productive relationships across the business both at ING Real Estate level but also across ING Group
- To provide support and advice to senior management (both business line and staff departments) on external communication issues, including the production of project specific communication plans
- Responsible for the management of ING RE’s media activities to build the external profile of the business. This will include managing media relations, developing a media programme, overseeing the developing a media programme, overseeing the production and distribution of press releases, dealing with media enquiries and generating news flow across the business
- Responsible for the delivery of an external annual plan. This will in clued the development of key messages, identification of key target audiences, purpose, key themes and content development, together with a detailed annual implementation plan with focus on a public relations activity.
- Responsible for developing appropriate benchmarks to evaluate the effectiveness of communication activity.
- Monitoring of media coverage to evaluate effectiveness of media programme.
- To work closely with fellow team members to create effective team environment, to include management of Communication Executive.
- To develop and agree stretching budgets foe external communication and to manage costs to budget.
Prerequisites
- Minimum of 5-8 years solid experience of external communication at senior level
- Degree level education or similar
- Business literate
- Experience in communication consultancy preferred
- Excellent people en negotiating skills
- Skilled communicator
- To be intellectually curios and astute with the ability to deliver innovative brand communication activity
- Strong affinity with issues facing the financial service sector.
