Description
Purpose of the job is to support external relationship managers in the delivery of external communication strategy and plan with a particular focus on media and news management.
Main responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for assisting External Communication Managers in the production and timing of press releases.

Regarding to media relations you will provide support to the External Communication advisor in the development and management of ING RE’s media activities, to include:
- media database development and management
- maintenance of press release tracker
- production of journalist background briefing notes and post meeting notes
- maintenance of media distribution lists
- arrangement of all logistics in respect to media trips and meetings - Furthermore you will be responsible for managing benchmarks to evaluate the effectiveness of communication activity and monitoring of media coverage to evaluate effectiveness of media programme to include the production of PR newsletter and benchmark reports.
Prerequisites
- Minimum communication advisor qualification, preferably three years experience in similar role.
- Experience of relationship building across a similar diverse organisation
- A professional individual seeking to develop further external communication skills
- The candidate needs to be able to work independently and to manage activities to completion
- The candidate needs to have the ability to build relationships internally to facilitate the flow of external communication
- In seeking to achieve excellence the candidate should be organised, consistent and attentive to detail.
