Saskia Hielkema - Developer Acquisitions
Other sites
What attracted me most about working for ING Real Estate was its image as a reliable, professional company with a portfolio of special and often spectacular projects. It’s a pure developer (not attached to a construction company), international and broad in scope.
After getting my degree in Human geography in 1998, I worked for Blauwhoed Eurowoningen as a retail marketing researcher and then went on to specialize in residential properties. In 2001 I started to focus on a more commercial career as acquisition manager in South-West Holland. Later, when I worked as a development manager, I was responsible for the acquisition of dwellings, maintaining and expanding the network, as well as purchasing land and other buildings.
What my job looks like
Within ING Real Estate Development, which I joined in February 2007, I’m responsible for the acquisition of dwellings in the Netherlands. I help formulate acquisition policy and strategy for the residential unit in the Netherlands. My job involves feasibility studies, developing plans, studies and residential concepts, participating in pre-selections and competitions, and exploring the market for land purchasing opportunities.
