ING Clarion Real Estate Securities named Global Real Estate Manager of the Year

ING Clarion Real Estate Securities, the real estate securities management group within ING Real Estate, has won the Global Real Estate Manager of the Year Award, a Specialists and Alternative Investment Manager Award presented by Professional Pensions, the leading UK publication for the occupational pensions industry.

The Professional Pensions’ Specialists and Alternative Investment Manager Awards recognise the leading and most innovative investment managers serving UK pension schemes.

The company claimed the top spot ahead of five rivals. The shortlists were based on data from Mercer Investment Consulting’s performance analytics and performance over three years to the end of June 2007. The second round of judging was based on award submissions from the shortlisted firms. The award was presented at a gala lunch held in London recently.

ING Real Estate was recently named top manager in terms of total assets invested in real estate for the fourth year running by leading US publication Pensions and Investments. The company’s total assets under management increased by 38% to US$114.6 billion.
